2013

2013 is the best year thus far, simply because I had eight months of holiday!!!!! No school, no early mornings! And I get to travel!

In early march, I had a 6d5n trip to Vietnam with Marie, Nicholas and Fadhil. Great place, great food. Beef pho in any random restaurant tastee equally good.

In April, I planned a free n easy trip to Seoul with my aunts. Beautiful place, great food, friendly people and great weather!!!

Exactly two days aftr coming back from Seoul, I had a 5d4n family trip to Perth. We always wanted to go overseas as a family, esp with my grandmother. But in january, her health took a beating which subsequently caused her to pass on in mid march. And finally my family decided to take this trip, in remembrance of my grandma.

Time flies when you are having a good time. Holidays ended and I started school ; freshmen @ SMU.

It was one of the hardest decisions to make. I didnt like the school's learning pedagogy and the school fees compared to other local universities, was much more exp. But its the only school that offered me a biz degree, which was what I wanted. Well, at least thats what I thought I wanted.

But during the whole semester, I started to question and doubt myself as I see so many of my peers perform better. Am I cut out for uni? For a biz degree? Will I be able to get a gpa above 3.5 when I graduate? I was so tempted to quit and give up.

And of course in these helpless and desperate moments, I had to turn to God to answer some of my questions. As I wait for His reply, I have learnt to meditate on His word.

" Cast your care upon Him for he cares for you "

1 Peter 5:7

" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding "

Proverbs 3:5

Despite my mediocre A level results and GPA for sem 1 year 1, I thank God for what he has done thus far. Even my grandma's passing is something worth to be thankful for.

On this note, in 2014, I will be a stronger person spiritually, mentally and physically.
